As powerful as the core spheres are, as mentioned before most magic requires the use of more than one sphere. For instance, a Fireball spells requirements are [Fire 5/Illusion 3/Space 2] to cast a fireball of 1d6 damage up to 100' and at a 15' radius. This means that you have to be proficient with the Sphere of Fire level 5, the Sphere of Illusion level 3, the Sphere of Space level 2, and have a Caster Level of 10. If you can have the spheres of knowledge, you can reduce the caster level by subtracting 2 levels of Illusion to make the burst a single 5' square, subtract 1 levels of Space to make the distance a close range of up to 25' (5 squares), and if you need to reduce the fire down 4 levels to 1d6. You can now, as an arcane Caster Level 4, cast a 1d6 fireball up to 5 squares (25'). You can also cast a 15th level fireball if you qualify and double the radius of the spell! An Arcane Caster Level 12 would be able to cast a Level 11 fireball (5d6+6) only once per day, but can cast a Level 4 fireball (1d6+6) every round at close range without tiring!

Remember, implements and components can dramatically increase the power of your spells! Encounter and venture spells need components, but if you wish to dramatically power up your spells, you can include components that enhance the power of your spell (see under Items chapter).
