Slaan

The slaan are by far the most ancient of all the intelligent races on Skye. Now only in legend, the slaan once ruled much of the world after the War at gods retreat. The Slaan are an amphibious race that dates back to when time was whole and the Lands were ageless. Slaan never age, but can still die from many ailments. Over the centuries, as the climate cooled, and lush forests covered the world, the slaan slowly faded into legend, and now only rumors of their power still circulate in nighttime stories or in crumbling texts in the great libraries of the Silver Elves.

What is known is that the Slaan had great mental power, their bodies were large and shaped like giant frogs, and they were carried around on ornate palinquins by their slaves. The ruins of their once great culture remain buried in the swamps of Xarxaron, rumored to be in a distant land now lost to modern maps. Of other amphibious and reptilian races, some say that the few remainder slaan slowly work dark plots to regain power and control over the other races.

Bre'en (Reptilian humanoid race)

Remanents of a race considered ancient even in the oldest elven records, the Bre'en or Thok'Pa are a reptilian race of great power, residing now primarily in the desert regions in the Old Lands. Little is known of them, and their ways are foreign to all races.

Bre'en

• Ability Adjustments- Dex + 2, Cha +2, Str - 2, Int - 2
• Size- Medium
• Low-light Vision: Bre'en can see twice as far as a human in starlight, moonlight, torchlight, and similar conditions of poor illumination. They retain the ability to distinguish color and detail under these conditions.
• Base Speed of 30 feet
• Immunity to magic sleep spells and effects.
• +2 Racial Bonus to Listen, Move Silently, and Wilderness Lore skills
• +2 racial saving throw bonus against Enchantment spells or effects.
• Proficient with all simple weapons.
• Automatic Languages: Common and Sylvan. Bonus Languages: Dwarven, Elvan and Gnome
• Bonded Lupine Mount- The Bre'en are bonded to a wolf mount well before the age of maturity. The mount follows the guidelines for a Paladins mount and advances as the cumulative level of the favored classes of a Bre'en. The Wolfborn starts with a bonded wolf, and if the wolf perishes can bond with another at the peak of a full moon at least 1 year later. The mount can be trained
