The Barrow
It's hard to say where the Barrow originated. It is known that long ago they once inhabited the distant forests in Eastern Sylvania, and when the plague of Orcs spread they fled their homeland and settled eventually in what is now called The Barrowlands in the Northern Heartlands. For a thousand years they have thrived here, living peacefully with the elves to the north and the humans of the Heartlands.
Barrow are skillful merchants, tailors, brewers, and are also renowned for their skill in craftsmanship of woodworking. While most Barrow are peaceful and would never set foot outside the Barrowlands for any adventure, there are barrow to the north who hunt the Tanu wolves and practice as trackers, guides, and guards. It is not uncommon for these barrow to seek adventure in the world, or to find a barrow merchant here or there in the world enterprising in the larger cities.
